With Focus on Sustainability of natural resources , SGSF has undertaken massive “Home Stead Horticulture” plantation drive of more than 5000 horticulture saplings by active involvement of local communities as part of Telangana Governments “Haritha Haaram” Program in adopted village of Gonguluru. Homestead Horticulture focuses upon the sustainability of plantation by self involvement of local communities in its plantation and maintenance. To make this initiative demand driven from local communities rather than forced upon, the Homestead Horticulture focuses upon involving local communities in plants/sapling selection of their choice and its maintenance by planting the same at their place of choice either near their homes or in their fields.
